Glowing
Layering, playing, slipping and sliding wet paint across a luminous aluminium surface, the making of this painting was every bit as joyful, curious and adventurous as visiting this waterfall in person. Captured by the energy, the mist, the smells and the reflections, I wanted to relive this encounter - a meeting of the natural landscape with my interior world, a celebration of nature and a gratitude for being part of something so enormously beautiful.

Spring unfolding
The painting 'Spring unfolding' is part of my ongoing exploration of how memory, observation, and experience shape our understanding of place. I approach the Australian landscape not just visually, but as a space to inhabit. By walking, observing, and sketching on site, I engage directly with the environment. These encounters inform the painting, capturing colours, tones, and perspectives, which I further develop in the studio, working from memory and reflection to translate experience onto canvas.

Winter Morning
My inspiration comes from many sources, including the colours, shapes, and textures of the Australian landscape. This painting was inspired by an early morning walk near my home, trying to capture the soft light and ethereal beauty of the bush.

Autumn drive through Orange
My inspiration comes from many sources, including the colours, shapes, and textures of the Australian landscape. This painting was inspired by the scenic drive home after a weekend away near Orange. I was mesmerised by the colours in the landscape; the riotous Autumn trees and the soft, hazy golden fields.
